Osteopathic Internship Application Process

Students are encouraged to participate in a student rotation at UPMC Shadyside. The student must apply using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), a service of the Association of American Medical Colleges. The attachments to be included are as follows:

• Dean’s Letter
• Recommendation from faculty member
• Official Medical School transcript, and
• Copy of completed COMLEX 1 scores of 450 or higher.

The next step is an interview with the Director of Medical Education. If interested in further training at UPMC Shadyside, an interview will also be scheduled with the Program Director.
