Clinical Scientist: Application Information
Eligibility
Students who are in the process of applying to the University of Pittsburgh Internal Medicine Residency Program should complete an online application to apply for the Clinical Scientist Track. Only students who have received an invitation to interview for residency will be considered for this track.
Deadline
Each year, the application deadline for the incoming class is April 1. However, we request that you complete the Clinical Scientist Track application prior to your interview with the Admissions Committee of the University of Pittsburgh Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Qualifications
The Admissions Committee of the Clinical Scientist Track favors applicants who have distinguished academic qualifications; a high level of interest in, commitment to, and aptitude for the pursuit of innovative clinical research in academic medicine; and strong recommendations from their previous faculty. Special consideration is given to applicants who have experience in clinical research and have been listed as an author or coauthor of a scientific publication.
